Featured — 2026: The 58th Annual Meeting of AASP – The Palynological Society, held jointly with the 19th Argentine Symposium of Palaeobotany and Palynology (SAPP), takes place 8–11 September 2026 in Trelew, Patagonia, Argentina, at the Egidio Feruglio Palaeontological Museum (MEF), with post-conference field trips on 12–13 September.

International Palynological Congress (IPC)

Every 4–5 yearsIFPS

The discipline's largest global congress, run under the International Federation of Palynological Societies and usually held jointly with the International Organisation of Palaeobotany (IOP). The XV IPC / XI IOP was held in Prague in May 2024; the next congress is announced through the IFPS.

The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS) meetings

TMS runs an annual conference plus dedicated Palynology Group meetings alongside foraminifera and nannofossil groups.

Because congress dates and venues are set by member-society votes, the most current calendar is always the IFPS "Future Events" calendar and the AASP-TPS website. Regional societies (see our directory) also list their own workshops and field meetings.
